ALPHA PHI
BETA BETA CHAPTER
ABOUT ALPHA PHI AT MICHIGAN STATE:
Founded in 1872 at Syracuse University, Alpha Phi International Fraternity dedicates itself to promoting sisterhood, cultivating leadership, encouraging intellectual curiosity and advocating service. Alpha Phi prides itself in creating well rounded leaders and maintaining an open mind about change and development. Headquartered in Evanston, Illinois, Alpha Phi continues to flourish throughout both the United States and Canada. Each year, the Alpha Phi Foundation awards more than $150,000 in scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate Alpha Phis.
The Beta Beta Chapter here at MSU helps women develop character for a lifetime by encouraging leadership, scholarship, and sisterhood. Being an Alpha Phi provides the benefit of establishing and maintaining connections for the world beyond college. Many alumnae have helped members of the Beta Beta chapter receive internships with Fortune 500 companies as well as many other corporations around the country.
At Michigan State University, our members love to get involved in clubs on campus as well as other Greek organizations. Alpha Phi participates in Panhellenic/IFC “Greek Week” and also enjoys supporting other Greek organizations on campus by attending and donating to their philanthropies. Alpha Phi helps members build long lasting friendships not only within their chapter, but throughout the Greek community at Michigan State University.

PHILANTHROPY EVENT: RED DRESS GALA
For more than 50 years, Alpha Phi has focused on heart disease and cardiac care as one of their philanthropic priorities. Through its annual Cardiac Care Award, the Alpha Phi Foundation helps fund research and educational programs that support Cardiac health. Alpha Phi nationwide is educating women everywhere about the causes, prevention and treatment of heart-disease, the number one killer of women in North American. The Beta Beta chapter every year has followed the tradition of many other Alpha Phi chapters by hosting a Red Dress Gala every February. With help from our chapter members, chapter alumnae, parents, MSU officials and leaders from other Greek organizations, we are able to raise a tremendous about of money and educate our community about women’s heart health. We are extremely proud to say that since 2012, our chapter has raised over $62,000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation.
