ABOUT GAMMA PHI BETA AT MICHIGAN STATE:
Gamma Phi Beta has an international membership of over 160,000 members. The Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority has 125 collegiate chapters and 171 alumnae groups. As Gamma Phis, we hold true to our four crescent values of love, labor, learning and loyalty. Since our founding date on November 11, 1874 Gamma Phi Beta women everywhere have truly made an impact on the world. We have accomplished women in many different fields including politics, journalism, science, education, the military, and acting. As a G-Phi, you’ll find that your sisters will support you in all your endeavors, both during your stay at Michigan State and after the college years have long gone. After all, being a member doesn’t stop at college graduation because after joining Gamma Phi Beta you’ll make memories to cherish and friendships to last a lifetime.

PHILANTHROPY EVENT: BUILDING STRONG GIRLS & GIRLS ON THE RUN
As advocates for women, our organization envisions a community where every girl and woman has the skills to succeed in life. Our new philanthropic focus, Building Strong Girls, expresses our philanthropic mission, to provide experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental, and social resiliency in girls in today's world. In addition to a new philanthropic focus, the Sorority also announced its newest philanthropic partner –Girls on the Run. A volunteer-led program, Girls on the Run weaves training for a 5K run with fun, experience-based lessons that improve self-awareness, build a collection of positive experiences and inspire life-changing confidence through accomplishment. The organization’s programming inspires self-respect and healthy lifestyles in girls, and their core curriculum addresses many aspects of girls’ development.
