PHILANTHROPY EVENT: MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION

"Make-A-Wish is a foundation that grants the wishes of children with life threatening diseases and is the official philanthropy for Chi Omega nationally.  Chi Omega is especially thankful for this philanthropy because of its mission in directly helping these children.  Every fall, the Xi Gamma chapter of Chi Omega teams up with the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and holds a car wash, known as Washes For Wishes.  This is a great opportunity for both chapters to come together, with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish.  In the spring, Chi Omega hosts "Week of Wishes", which is a week-long event in which the fraternities at Michigan State compete in various fun competitions with the help of the Chi Omega's as coaches.  With the proceeds from these events and the generous help of the community, Chi Omega raises thousands of dollars every year to help grant children's wishes.”
